The Warsaw Chamber of Tourism (WIT) is a municypal tourist authority.
WIT was established at the 8th of June 1994.
WIT associates 85 members (1st of April 2008) from Warsaw and Mazovia district.
WIT members are Travel Agencies, Tourist Services Agencies (94%), high standard hotels and catering firms, carriers, etc.
WIT represents the business of its members and recommend them (certificate).
THE BASIC TASKS OF THE CHAMBER ARE:
To contribute to the development of polish tourism, in Warsaw and Mazovia district, to increase the level of tourism services, alongside protecting its members interests.
WIT helps them to resolve their economic, organizational and legal problems, cooperate with the state authorities, it provides information and promotion and acts to upgrade the professional skills of the staff implementing services for tourism
Currently WIT cooperates with 10 local chamber of tourism (together 800 members), and Polish Chamber of Tourism (370 members)
